DRESS CODE Releases Vehicle Management/Fleet Product in GA Force Series
Dress Code Inc. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Yuki Ejiri) has released "Vehicle Management/Fleet," a new product in the DRESS CODE "GA Force" series that promotes business efficiency for general affairs departments. "Vehicle Management/Fleet" enables centralized management of vehicles, ships, and aircraft that companies own and operate. It addresses practical challenges such as dispersed vehicle information, person-dependent legal inspections and insurance renewals, and lack of visibility into operational status—supporting advanced vehicle management and strengthened governance.
Background
Vehicle management for sales vehicles, trucks, and the like is common at many companies, but information on users, departments, and license details is often scattered across labor management SaaS and Excel, making it difficult to accurately grasp ownership and actual usage. For assets such as ships and aircraft, dedicated systems are typically used for each asset type, creating situations where it is difficult to obtain a cross-sectional view of company-wide ownership, operational status, and users.
Furthermore, legal compliance management—including vehicle inspections, periodic inspections, insurance renewals, and certificate expiration—tends to depend on individual managers, creating the risk of management gaps when personnel transfer or leave. It is not uncommon for companies to notice expiration only at the last moment or scramble to respond only after being pointed out.
Additionally, when usage and utilization rates are not sufficiently understood, companies may fail to notice idle or excess assets and continue unnecessary new purchases or lease renewals, leading to cost inefficiencies.
Maintenance, repair, and accident histories cannot be tracked chronologically; user and driver records are ambiguous; data accumulates but is not utilized. These challenges arise in combination due to the absence of appropriate management tools. To address these issues, we have released "Vehicle Management/Fleet" as a product that enables cross-sectional management of vehicles, ships, and aircraft.
Product Overview
"Vehicle Management/Fleet"
"Vehicle Management/Fleet" is a product that enables centralized management of assets such as vehicles, ships, and aircraft. Different vehicle types can be managed in the same ledger with the same interface and operations. By integrating common information such as ownership, operations, and maintenance with asset-type-specific legal compliance items and technical information, it enables cross-sectional visibility across locations, departments, purposes, and asset types.
Legal inspections and certificate expiration dates can be organized and managed per vehicle, with future plans for alert functionality to provide automatic notifications. By accumulating data such as usage history, mileage, and operating hours on a per-asset basis, it can be used to understand operational status and idle assets, and to inform decisions on fleet size and lease contract reviews.
Key Features
Vehicle Management Ledger
Manage all mobile assets in a common format. Cross-sectional listing and search by ownership type, users, locations, and purpose enables an overview of the entire asset portfolio. This prevents "oversights due to decentralized management" and builds a structure where necessary information can be confirmed immediately.
Legal Compliance and Inspection Deadline Management
Manage vehicle inspections, periodic inspections, insurance, certificates, and more with expiration dates, and track next inspection dates and validity periods. Future alert functionality will support pre-expiration notifications, supporting "reduced expiration risk" and "reduced audit response effort."
Usage History and Operational Status Visualization
Manage usage records, mileage, and operating hours per vehicle. Understanding utilization rates and last operation dates makes "idle assets" and "excess ownership" visible.
Maintenance, Repair, and Accident History Management
Manage maintenance records, repair details, and accident history chronologically. Past incident history can be confirmed immediately, providing "evidence for renewal and replacement decisions."
User and Permission Association Management
Record users, usage purposes, and usage periods. By associating user and driver license information and special permits with vehicles, it is possible to immediately confirm who was using which vehicle with what authority when an accident occurs, facilitating "fact-finding and responsibility identification."
