Dress Code Inc. Launches Revolutionary Workforce Management Platform DRESS CODE on April 1st
Dress Code Inc. (Headquarters: Tsukiji, Chuo-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Yuki Ejiri) officially launched its workforce management platform, DRESS CODE, on April 1, 2025, with a focus on the Japanese and broader Asian markets.
Since its founding in September 2024, Dress Code Inc. has engaged in intensive research, development, and early marketing efforts. As a result, DRESS CODE has already been adopted by over 100 companies in Japan and more than 30 companies across Asia—including Indonesia, Vietnam, and Thailand—within just seven months.
To support this rapid growth, the company has successfully closed a seed funding round of 1.41 billion yen, led by KUSABI No. 1 Investment Business Limited Partnership, NISSAY CAPITAL CO.,LTD., and XTech Ventures Co., Ltd. This funding marks a key milestone in the platform's official launch and will drive further business expansion and organizational development across Japan and Asia.
*Workforce Management refers to the comprehensive lifecycle management of all individuals involved in corporate activities, including employees and contractors, from recruitment and onboarding to retirement and departure, across cross-functional business areas such as HR, general affairs, and information systems.
DRESS CODE for Eliminating Friction in Business Operations and Management

While the rise of SaaS solutions and the momentum of digital transformation have digitized business operations globally, structural frictions—such as organizational fragmentation and information silos—has become increasingly evident. Relying on individually optimized tools to support operations across various business areas is proving inadequate, underscoring the growing necessity for comprehensive business redesign.
In Japan, this friction challenge has emerged as a more serious management issue due to social factors such as declining birthrates, aging population, and labor shortages. Particularly in people-related operations, which span multiple departments including HR, information systems, and general affairs, most companies manage these areas with separate systems and ledgers. While single-function SaaS solutions have become widespread, many companies still face increasing operational complexity due to persistent issues like re-entering information, personalization, and human errors resulting from the lack of inter-departmental and inter-system coordination.
Similar challenges exist in Asian markets, but with different backgrounds. While the population of knowledge workers is rapidly increasing due to economic growth and higher education rates, business processes and system infrastructure have not kept pace, leaving many companies still relying on paper, spreadsheets, and email-based operations. The current situation shows that structural infrastructure redesign has not caught up with the increasing sophistication and complexity of business operations.
Meanwhile, in the United States, integrated solutions like Workday and compound platforms like Rippling and Deel have been growing rapidly as answers to these structural challenges. Particularly, Rippling has established a significant market position as a platform that manages people and operations cross-functionally and structurally by deploying multiple business applications on a common data platform. In fact, the U.S. workforce management market is projected to reach $7.41 billion in 2024 and $10.35 billion by 2029, with a steady annual growth rate of 6.91% (Source: Mordor Intelligence, 2024).
However, in Japan and Asia, the current focus remains on implementing SaaS solutions optimized for individual operations or maintaining person-dependent business operations, with almost no business infrastructure that takes a cross-functional perspective across all areas. Dress Code has designed and developed "DRESS CODE" to deliver essential solutions to the management frontline in Japan and Asia by redesigning Japanese operational excellence as software to address these structural challenges.

3 Series of "DRESS CODE" Released Simultaneously
In April 2025, we introduced three series simultaneously—IT Force, HR Force, and GA Force—each designed to deliver targeted value to the HR/labor, general affairs, and information systems domains.

The "DRESS CODE" platform is a next-generation workforce management solution that integrates both SaaS and marketplace components. It serves as a new "Business OS" engineered to structurally redesign daily operations across six key people-related areas: HR, recruitment, general affairs, information systems, projects, and corporate governance. Instead of operating as a standalone SaaS tool, the platform features an integrated marketplace that fosters seamless collaboration with external partners—including IT infrastructure providers, telecommunications carriers, leasing and finance companies, and professional service providers—thereby facilitating a natural flow for executing daily operations.
At the heart of DRESS CODE is its core business architecture platform. More than just an application, it's a comprehensive system built on shared infrastructure components such as databases, middleware, design systems (UI/UX), and internationalization support. This robust foundation enables coordinated information sharing and business optimization across multiple domains—not limited by departmental silos like HR or information systems. Moreover, this approach allows for rapid and reproducible product development, empowering companies to fundamentally redesign previously "friction"-laden operations that single-function SaaS solutions cannot resolve.
Moving forward, we will continue to enhance each business area by delivering the synergistic value that only a compound product combination can achieve.
Over 130 Companies Implemented Domestically and Internationally
"DRESS CODE" has been adopted by over 130 companies—100 in Japan and more than 30 across Indonesia, Vietnam, and Thailand—in just seven months since our establishment in September 2024.
This milestone was achieved through valuable collaboration with our partners, including major industry players. By uniting the expertise and resources of multiple companies, "DRESS CODE" has transcended its initial status as a product to become a full-fledged "business OS" grounded in real-world operations and poised for further market integration.
Looking ahead, we plan to broaden our presence by expanding into key Asian metropolitan areas such as Singapore and Malaysia. In addition, we intend to sequentially introduce new series in recruitment, project management, and corporate governance, ultimately creating a comprehensive "business OS" that covers all six critical domains.
In the upcoming growth phase, our goal is to forge wider strategic alliances that move beyond simple system integrations and sales partnerships. We are committed to collaborating on the redesign and redefinition of business operations within corporate management. We warmly invite partners with deep operational expertise—from companies of every size and across all industries—to join us in further expanding the DRESS CODE ecosystem.
Completion of Pre-Seed and Seed Round Funding of 14.1 Billion Yen
Dress Code Inc. has successfully closed a seed round funding of 1.05 billion yen, with NISSAY CAPITAL CO.,LTD., XTech Ventures Co., Ltd., and KUSABI No. 1 Investment Limited Partnership as the lead investors. Combined with the pre-seed investment from KUSABI No. 1 Investment Limited Partnership in November 2024, our total cumulative funding now stands at 14.1 billion yen.
These funds will be strategically allocated to fortify the workforce management platform "DRESS CODE" and to expand our operational footprint both domestically and internationally. Our immediate priorities include:
Accelerating research and development to enhance product delivery and innovation.
Strengthening recruitment efforts and operational capabilities to support expansion across Japan and Southeast Asia.
In parallel with continuous fundraising, we are actively exploring additional business partnerships and alliances. Through strategic investments, corporate venture capital (CVC), and open innovation initiatives, we are seeking collaborative opportunities with potential partners. We welcome inquiries from interested companies and institutions eager to join us on this transformative journey.
Message from CEO Yuki Ejiri
DRESS CODE is a platform engineered for the sustainable transformation of corporate operations. By addressing the fragmentation that arises when core functions such as HR, recruitment, general affairs, and information systems operate on isolated tools and processes, DRESS CODE delivers a path from partial optimization to total optimization. Our goal is to seamlessly integrate all of these optimally tuned solutions while preserving the unique insights and expertise built over time.
As of April 2025, DRESS CODE has been deployed in over 130 companies across Japan and Asia, marked by the successful launch of our three-series offering: IT Force, HR Force, and GA Force. Looking forward, we plan to extend our reach further into recruitment, project management, and corporate governance, evolving our platform into a fully integrated system that supports the whole business operations.
We believe that sustainable corporate strength arises when daily operational improvements and comprehensive structural redesign work in unison. DRESS CODE is committed to being the catalyst that embraces the duality to optimize business operations.
